In the SRVUSD, our Strategic Direction of Deep Learning and Innovation ensures all 抖音阴app have access to high quality instruction with opportunities for deeper learning.
GATE in SRVUSD is an identification only, not a program. GATE-identified 抖音阴app do not receive additional pull out, push in, or after school learning opportunities. Based on their CogAT score, Some 抖音阴app may be eligible to take the multiple measures test for the Academic Talent Program (ATP).
Gate by Grade Level
Elementary:
In the SRVUSD, grades 3-5 GATE identified 抖音阴app are in every class, and teachers differentiate within their classes.
Secondary:
At the middle school level, GATE identified 抖音阴app are placed in individually appropriate courses and teachers differentiate within their classes. All 抖音阴app (not just GATE identified 抖音阴app) have the opportunity to be in an accelerated math pathway based on demonstration of mastery of prerequisite skills. At the high school level, all 抖音阴app (those in GATE or not) have the opportunity to be admitted into Honors and Advanced Placement classes in selected courses based on eligibility. Entrance into advanced visual and performing arts classes is based on an audition process.
Previously Identified as GATE from Another District
Previously identified gifted 抖音阴app who enter SRVUSD are considered for GATE identification as determined by the SRVUSD's GATE identification criteria. Parents should provide their student’s GATE identification paperwork to their school office. The paperwork needs to include: 1. document that certifies that the student was in a gifted program, and 2. name of assessment measure(s) and student’s scores used to qualify the student for GATE.
